Plug or no plug?

Heat rejection is performed by coolant routed in the small outer coolant channels that lies in a circle around the core.

Without plug, the core center hole works as a by-pass channel in applications where the cooler is installed in a full coolant flow circuit.

Fully plugged all coolant is forced through the small outer channels. This is used when the cooler is installed in part flow circuits.

A Partly plugged center hole can be useful in medium flow applications. I.e. the cooler is easy to tune for many different applications. See list for available plug sizes for our different series of coolers. For calculations on your specific application fill in the calculation form that you find on our web page and send it to Laminova.
